A Collection of Our Photography

Since the day Jim purchased his first camera in 1977, he has enjoyed taking photos of a wide variety of subjects. Donna took up an interest in photography in 2002, with her gardens the focus of her photographic interest.

Jim and Donna now shoot digital cameras almost exclusively. A Canon G3 and a Canon 420EX speedlight see frequent use for their travel and outdoor photography. For nature and more "serious" photography outings, a Canon 10D DSLR with a selection of Canon lenses is usually called into action. Lenses include the EF 50/1.4 USM, EF 17-40/4L USM, EF 100/2.8 Macro USM and EF 300/4L USM. A variety of accessories are often used, including a Canon 25mm extention tube, 1.4X teleconverter and a 550EX speedlight, along with a variety of other accessories including a Wimberley flash bracket, a selection of filters and a selection of Photoflex Litedisc reflectors and diffusers. The vast majority of all photos are taken using solid camera support. A Bogen 3001 tripod with a Kirk BH-3 ballhead, Bogen 3221 tripod with a Kirk BH-1 ballhead, Kirk WM2 window mount or Groundshot2 CSP with a Kirk BH-3 ballhead or a Kinesis Safarisack are used to help ensure a sharp image.

A pair of 35mm SLRs, including a Canon Elan 7E and a Canon 1n, are kept on hand for those occassions when film is used.
